Lenten Seafood Extravaganza Cooking Class

On Saturday, March 6th join radio host, TV personality and cooking teacher, Poppy Tooker in a seafood cooking extravaganza!

We will begin with a shrimp boiling primer, followed with a classic Creole remoulade sauce to accompany those succulent beauties. Next, Poppy reveals all the secrets of her famous seafood gumbo – the one that beat Bobby Flay in a throwdown and prompted Wynton Marsalis to exclaim, “Have mercy, Poppy!” on CBS Sunday Morning. Finally, Poppy will teach you how to make an authentic étouffée which cooks in less time than it takes to make the rice!
