The Treacle

Serves 1

2 oz. dark rum

¼ oz. simple syrup

2 dashes Angostura bitters

½ oz. apple juice or cider

In an old-fashioned rocks glass, pour 1 ounce of rum with simple syrup and bitters over a couple of ice cubes. Stir well. Add second ounce of rum and fill glass with ice. Slowly pour apple juice on top as a floater and serve.
